We are delighted to welcome Charlie Clayton to JDA as our Business and Marketing Administrator. Charlie is the friendly voice that answers the phone and the smiley face that greets you in the office.  Charlie is responsible for keeping things in tip-top shape at JDA. You’ll also see Charlie out and about at our Networking events and looking after marketing at the firm.

We caught up with Charlie to find out a bit more about her.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I’m a self-confessed shopaholic! When I’m not spending my time with my family and the other half, I keep myself busy with some crafts. Travelling is a passion of mine, and I spend my annual leave sunning myself on sandy beaches in the corners of the world.

Where is your favourite place?

This is a tricky one for me. I’d have to say Dubai for how hot and beautiful it is as a country and I’d say I’ve had some of my best meals there. Although Tenerife holds a special place in my heart. My first holiday with my boyfriend, and a place we try to revisit twice a year. It’s a real home from home.

What is your favourite food and the food you dislike the most?

Everybody who knows me will tell you, I’m not fussy when it comes to food. I’d have to say my favourite food would be Chinese cuisine. When I was at college studying for my A-Levels I worked at a Chinese restaurant and would say I’ve tried everything on the menu 3 times over at least! I absolutely detest lettuce!

Tell me an interesting fact about yourself

I was Head Girl at my high school. This role suited me just fine as I got to organise events, parties, and boss people around!

What did you want to do when you were growing up?

Growing up I wanted to be in the police. I loved the idea of investigating and helping people. I think really it’s just because I’m super nosy and inquisitive!

Tell us about your role

My role is varied, and I will be assisting and supporting the team with administrative tasks. I’ll also be responsible for the marketing at JDA and keeping everything in check (even making sure the team has enough milk for their coffees to keep them going).

What do you like about working at JDA?

The people and support are the main reason I love working here. The team has been so supportive, it’s great to work for a business that cares about both their staff and their clients.
