Secret Santa? I don’t think that’s possible in JDA Towers. As much as we tried to keep our secrets, the team couldn’t help but share who had bought for each other.

To ensure we was properly in the festive spirit, we all popped on our Christmas jumpers and sat around our lovely tree (courtesy of the wonder Christmas Decorators insert link ) to open our presents. From bath bombs that fizz, to the more important bottles of fizz, all of the team were thrilled with the gifts they received.

I think we would all agree that Megan smashed secret Santa this year. Surely there must have been a little bit of pressure getting the boss for Secret Santa, but there were smiles all round when Jon opened his gift. A January survival kit… what more could an accountant want during self-assessment season? The kit included a pair of socks with pictures of the team on it, just to keep Jon on his toes, a bottle of beer as a reward for completing so many SATRs, a pair of helping hands and finally a kit-kat to remind Jon that it is okay to take a break!

Despite the festivities, Christmas can be a tough period for businesses. Trying to fit a month’s worth of work into three weeks can be difficult, so having the opportunity to spend some time as a team aside from the chaos was great. I think I speak on behalf of the whole team by saying that the M&S sandwiches and cakes made the lunch time that little bit better!
