How are you getting on with those goals you set at the start of the year? Is your business getting to where you wanted it to be?

It’s easy as a business owner to get caught up in just doing the work. Sometimes, we forget to step back and actually look at the business. We all set goals for the year, but we often forget to check whether we’re reaching them……..until the deadline when it’s too late to do anything about them.

Therefore, this week I just thought I’d use a very quick email to just remind you to step back for just a few moments to see:

• Where you were at the start of the year

• Where you wanted to get at the end of the year

• Whether you are on track

If you’d have asked me a month ago, we were a bit behind. But now we’re a bit ahead.

I can’t always fully control the outputs (eg: the sales) but I can control the inputs (marketing activities). I do keep the inputs consistent and accept the outputs fluctuate each month but, on average, will hit my targets.

So, how are you measuring your businesses performance and if you are on track with your business goals?
